Please be our guest for an engaging, interactive presentation by Hoge Fenton tax and estate planning expert Lorna J. Drope.

Lorna will address these and other common myths and mistakes people make in planning – or failing to plan – their estates:

  1. Mythstake No. 1:  “My estate is too small for an estate plan – especially now that my retirement savings have dwindled.  Isn’t estate planning for the rich & famous?”

  2. Mythstake No. 2:  “I trust my daughter; I’ll just give her inheritance to her outright.  (There’s no way my crazy son-in-law will have access to my daughter’s inheritance – right?)”

  3. Mythstake No. 3:  “A trust is a trust.  The form I downloaded from the web is just fine!”

  4. Mythstake No. 4:  “I did an estate plan 10 years ago, so I’m all set.”
