Practice Overview Doug White is a member of the firm’s Real Estate & Land Use and Green Building & Technology Practice Groups. He represents and advises developers, lenders, counties, cities, specials districts, elected officials and businesses. He is the first attorney in the Silicon Valley to receive the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED Accredited Professional designation and is a frequent lecturer on, among other things, real estate contracts and building standards. Doug assists clients with real estate financing, contracts and commercial transactions, leasing, land use entitlements, project approvals, building certifications, condemnation actions, public contracts, environmental reviews, the California Political Reform Act , and regulatory and governmental affairs. Prior to joining Hoge Fenton, Doug served as Legal Counsel and Vice President of Government Affairs for the California Bankers Association, a member of the Legal Division of California’s Fair Political Practices Commission, and as Chief of Staff, Legislative Director and a consultant to various public officials, including State Superintendent of Public Instruction Jack O’Connell and Congressman Dennis Cardoza.
