Allison Dundas

Main Bio

Allison Ann Dundas is Of Counsel and a member of Hoge Fenton’s Family Law Practice Group.  She is a Certified Specialist in the area of Family Law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization.  For over the past 15 years, Allison’s practice has focused exclusively on family law matters, from initial consultations to settlement, mediation or trial. She is experienced in representing clients through all phases of family law litigation, from discovery and fact gatherings through trial, and has on matters before private judges and in the public courthouse. Allison has been sworn in and acts as a Judge Pro Tem in San Mateo County and a Settlement Officer in Santa Clara County.

Allison is an experienced trial attorney, who also holds a certificate from the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School.  Her areas of expertise include:

  • Complex marital dissolutions involving large assets and complex financial estates, cryptocurrency, closely held businesses, VC funds, and sophisticated executive compensation packages.
  • Child custody disputes, including complex parenting dynamics
  • Child and spousal support requests,
  • Domestic Violence cases representing both the victims and the accused,
  • Pre-marital agreements.
  • Allison’s representation focuses on the individual needs and desires of each client. She represents clients throughout northern California.

Background

Allison began her career in New York/Connecticut in 1997 clerking for U.S. Magistrate Judge Hon.David N. Hurd and receiving the NYU Charles H. Revson Law Students Public Interest Award.  She resumed the practice of law in California in 2008 focusing solely on Family Law.  She has been recognized for her volunteer contributions to the Santa Clara Court and received the AVVO Clients’ Choice Award in 2021.  She also co-authored “Yours, Mine and Ours: A Step-by-Step Guide to Reimbursement Claims in Real Estate” ACFLS 2010.
